Kenya packs an unusual amount into a small area. In a week you can go from elephant herds under Kilimanjaro, to a rhino sanctuary on the floor of the Rift Valley, to lion country on the Mara's open grassland — and each of those places looks and feels completely different from the last.
Every itinerary below runs as a private trip in your own vehicle, or as a scheduled small-group departure if you would rather share the cost. All of them can be run at three levels: budget camping with a crew who set up and cook for you, comfortable mid-range tented camps and lodges, or high-end properties with the best positions in each park.
If you are choosing between them, the honest advice is this: pick fewer parks and stay longer in each. Two nights somewhere is worth more than one night in two places, and every park transfer costs you half a day of game viewing.
