A long day but a rewarding one: down the escarpment into the Rift Valley and up to Nakuru, where a fenced sanctuary protects both black and white rhino among yellow-barked acacia on the shore of an alkaline lake.

An early pick-up so you are through Naivasha before the traffic builds. You reach Nakuru mid-morning and game drive through to lunch at a lodge inside the park, then a second circuit in the early afternoon before the drive back to Nairobi. Expect to be back at your hotel around 19:00.
